Children Reading Bible
If you have children and are trying to help them read the Bible every day then this might be a great help to you. David Murray at "Head Heart Hand" puts out a weekly Bible reading plan/schedule for children. Each week contains a morning and evening reading that is brief and simple. After each reading the child is asked a question from the passages he/she just read or they are asked to write out one of the verses.

The best part about it is that you can also download each week's reading in Word so you can tweak it to fit your needs. My five year old daughter has just learned to read so what I do is download the current weeks reading in Word and pick either the morning of the evening reading and have her do that. Perhaps in the future we will have her do both readings but right now we are starting with one. I also add a few extra lines for her to do the short assignment at the end of each day's reading (her handwriting is "big" and she found it hard to fit her answer on the lines provided so she asked if I could add a couple more lines for her). After I tweak it I print it out and give it to her. Then during lunch or dinner we are able to discuss what she read and learned from that day's Bible reading.

Check it out and may our children feast on God's Word daily - Children's Readings.
